Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Loculum, the budgeting app at app.loculum.com and the site at loculum.com. Loculum is run by XHID Software e Tecnologia Ltda (CNPJ 60.854.481/0001-24, Av. Champagnat 140, Praia da Costa, Vila Velha, ES, 29101-410, Brazil). "We" and "us" below mean XHID. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Loculum.

What Loculum is

Loculum is a manual budgeting tool. You type in your accounts and transactions yourself; Loculum doesn't connect to your bank and never moves money. It helps you plan, and it is not financial, tax or investment advice. The decisions you make with it are yours.

Your account

• You need to be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Give a real email address. We use it to sign you in, reset your password and write about your account.
• Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
• If you share a budget with someone, they can see and change everything in that budget. Only invite people you trust.

Your data

What you put in Loculum is yours. You can export every transaction to CSV at any time, whether or not you subscribe. We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising. How we store and protect it is in the Privacy Policy.

Free trial and subscription

• Every new account gets a 30-day free trial with everything included. No card is needed to start.
• Loculum has one paid plan: US$3 a month or US$29 a year. To keep using Loculum after the trial, you subscribe. Plans renew automatically. Card payments are handled by Stripe. If you use the app in Portuguese, the plan is priced in Brazilian reais and can also be paid by Pix Automático (recurring Pix), handled by Woovi.
• If the trial ends without a subscription, your account becomes read-only: you can sign in, see everything and export it to CSV, but not add or change anything until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the app. You keep full access until the end of the period you paid for; after that your account becomes read-only, as above.
• Payments aren't refunded for partial periods. If you were charged by mistake or Loculum didn't work for you, write to us and we'll sort it out. This doesn't limit any right to a refund that the law gives you.
• If the price changes, we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before it reaches you.

Fair use

Don't use Loculum to break the law, to attack or overload the service, to access other people's accounts or data, or to resell it. We may suspend an account that does, and we'll tell you why.

Availability

We work to keep Loculum running and your data backed up, but it's a small service run by a small team, and it's provided "as is": there may be downtime and bugs. Keep your own export if the data matters to you. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Closing your account

You can stop using Loculum at any time, and delete your account and its data anytime in Settings (backups roll off within 30 days). If we ever shut Loculum down, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice to export your data.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you before the change takes effect. Using Loculum after that means you accept the new terms.
